MICHELE
SIRES-DELOREAN |
|
Michele Sires-DeLorean lives in Colorado, where Nature's beauty and wonder dominate. Born into an artistic family, Michele had been interested in art from her earliest years, but only had begun to pursue the craft with passion and discipline in the last twelve years. Extended travel to the European and Asia-Pacific continents provided her with valuable opportunities for instruction and artistic development. Founder and former President of the Ken-Caryl Art Guild of Littleton, Colorado, Michele had been privileged to help grow the local community of artists and assist them with their personal and professional objectives. Michele believes that there is nothing more powerful than tapping into the creative root that is our birthright. "We make things in response to our natural instincts," she says, "it is part of our being human." "Nature teaches us that the purpose of life is growth; and it is through our personal growth and transformation that we begin to understand the interrelatedness of all that exists. Everything is subject to life's dynamic and impermanent nature, the same essential qualities that bring us closer to our own humanity." Oils, acrylics, and clay are Michele's mediums of choice. She also enjoys photographing her garden, particularly as inspiration for her work. Her subject matter includes portraiture, the natural world of landscapes, trees and wildlife; and of personal interest, her faces on stone. |
